Description | This blanket is hand-made on a loom using alpaca wool. Its design is a replica of the Coventry style sash which Louis Riel wore circa 1860. His original sash is currently on display at the Musée de Saint-Boniface Museum. Coventry sashes were the most common from 1850 to the early 1900s.
Cette couverte est faite à la main sur un métier utilisant la laine d’alpaga. Le patron est une copie de la ceinture de style Coventry que Louis Riel a porté aux environs de 1860. La ceinture portée par Louis Riel est en exhibition au Musée de Saint-Boniface Museum. La ceinture Coventry était le plus utilisé de 1850 au début des 1900s. |
